This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile game Heavy Drop developed by mrkiplingcake (referred to as "we", "us", or "our"), available at heavy-drop.co.uk.

1. Information We Collect

Heavy Drop does not directly collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, physical address, or phone number to our own servers.

      Local Game Data: Your game progression, high scores, unlocked levels, settings, and downloaded pack metadata are stored locally on your device storage. We do not transmit or store your local gameplay saves on private remote servers.
    

Leaderboards (optional)

Taking part in the Heavy Drop leaderboards is completely optional, and nothing changes in the game if you decide not to take part.

When you finish a level, the score for that run is validated by our servers. If you have joined the leaderboard, your best score for each leaderboard-enabled level is stored on Heavy Drop servers and shown publicly on the leaderboard page.
Your public entry uses an anonymous label generated for you (for example “Poppy #4F2A”). It is not your name, email, device name or location, and it is not derived from anything that identifies you. No email address, name or account is required to take part.
Internal player identifiers used by the game are never shown publicly. The leaderboard only ever shows the anonymous label, the score, when it was set and the level.
You can leave the leaderboard at any time from the leaderboard page. Your entry disappears from the public list immediately; your best scores are kept private on our servers so that you can re-join later without replaying the levels.
Forget this browser removes the leaderboard session this browser was given, so that browser no longer recognises you until you open the game again.
If you would like your stored leaderboard data removed entirely, contact us at the address in the game listing and we will delete it.

2. Third-Party Services and Advertising

Heavy Drop integrates third-party services provided by Google to support in-game advertising and consent management:

Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect and process information such as your device identifier (e.g., Android Advertising ID), IP address, general device model, and interaction data to serve ads.
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): In regions requiring consent (such as the European Economic Area / UK), Google UMP is used to collect and manage your consent preferences for personalized or non-personalized advertising.

3. Content Delivery & Backend Verification

Heavy Drop may connect to Cloudflare infrastructure to download optional game content packs and verify content integrity. These network requests transmit standard technical headers (such as IP address and user-agent) necessary for HTTP/HTTPS communication, handled in accordance with standard internet protocol security.

Download-link diagnostics: When a Heavy Drop download link (/download) is opened, we keep short-lived aggregate counts of those requests so that automated, accidental or abusive traffic can be identified. Each count records only the minute, the destination the link chose (Google Play, the App Store, the web demo or the homepage), a coarse device category, the country, the network (ASN), the referring site's hostname and the request method. We do not store IP addresses or any hash of them, full user-agent strings, cookies, advertising or click identifiers, full referrer URLs or anything else that identifies an individual, and these diagnostic counts are deleted after 14 days. If a download link carries one of our fixed advertising campaign labels (for example a country, physical-flyer or university campaign identifier), that constant label is counted together with the destination so we can see which advertisement produced the visit. No advertising or click identifier, and no other query parameter value, is stored.

4. Children's Privacy

Heavy Drop is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to a third-party service through our application, please contact us immediately so we can assist in addressing it.

5. Data Security

We value the trust you place in us. All network communications for game updates and ad delivery utilize industry-standard HTTPS encryption.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
